Drugs and alcohol can definitely make u high, but those r not my cup of tea.. wat i'm referring to is the thrill of participation wif like-minded audience such as Liang Jing Ru -- Fish Leong's campus concert in NTU tat i attended recently... The whole event juz rocks, wif great songs by Fish Leong and enthusiastic participation by the audience... oh man, even after the concert, she and her songs stuck in my mind for a very very very long time... perhaps i'm even listening to her newest album 燕尾蝶 right now... now i know y ppl would spend so much to watch concerts, it's really pure sensation and excitement for music lovers to see ur idol, sing wif them, and interact wif many other music lovers as well... definitely can make u high... juz like the way it makes Fish Leong high when the whole auditorium ppl actually got up from their comfy seats and demanded for "encore!! encore!!" So, anyone still haf extra Jay Chow's concert tickets??

Car repair shop

This morning dad brought mi to a car repair shop before fetching mi to school because his car tyre was flat.. after we pumped the tyre up from 104 psi to 220 psi at the nearby gas station, we quickly went to the shop around yio chu kang area, somewhere between serangoon and ang mo kio.. tat place is some factory area, lotsa factories specialising in hardware stuff and repairs.. the repair man was near 40 years old, but tat didn't hinder his skillful work.. with some kind of machine pistol in his hand, he took out the bolts then the tyre out in no time; inspect the tyre swiftly and pointed out two silver nails stuck in the tyre... the nail heads r damn small loh... after marking out wif blue chalk, he proceeded to release the air out, den mount it on a machine wif pedals beside it to rotate the tyre, and separate the rubber part from its central metal part; after tat it's juz taking out the nails and applying some blue glue and patches on the inside of the tyre where the nail holes are.. such amazing work, haha... and they charge so cheaply.. such tough work, wat happens if i got a car... where to learn all the servicing of a car? is there such a study course? can get degree? masters? tink the logic is same to computers assembling and fixing, either u let other ppl do it, or u do it urself...

Close Shave

This morning wake up at 9.40am... no big deal, u would say, unless u haf a CA quiz at 9.30am... after staring at the clock for 10 secs with my unbelievable eyes, i quickly change up in double quick time and dash out of my room.. intended to hail a cab, but the cabs here equals to striking 4D, luckily the bus came at the right time.. and so i managed to reach the Biological Sciences building lab at 9.50am.. there was another guy presuming late as well rushing to the lab, which makes it relieving for mi since i'm not the onli one.. haha.. we were initially "locked" outside of the computer lab cos onli authorised ppl can scan their card on the scanner outside and another way is to press a fat white button to unlock the magnetic glass doors from the inside... Lady Luck is definitely by my side as an authorised working personnel came out of the toilet and was on the way back to the lab.. i explained my situation to him and proceeded briskly to an empty com to start my belated quiz...

CA quiz leh.. counted towards final exam loh... die die muz finish even wif under limited remaining time... perhaps too rushed, no time to think, in the end got 31/40 for life science quiz... other ppl are getting more than mi... nothing to say... feeling quite weird after tat, going around empty handed, no bag, no files, no notes... at least i know i can get to the Biological Science building in 10min.. woot!

Interactions

This week has been special, not because of the upcoming quizzes and exams, but because 2 of my buddies from NUS came over yesterday to haf some interactions, hmm.. wat a weird word to use...

His msn nick has been there long ago, but tink no one ever noes wat it stands for... except for his hall people or his committee people, i guess... Jack is in the committee of this National Chinese Song Writing Competition in NUS, and has been ordered to promote in NTU... how dare he.. if i didn't regard him as my buddy, i would haf kicked everyone of his committee people's ass out of NTU... haha.. juz kidding.. maybe i would not do it if there is a pretty girl in his committee... but sadly no.. :p Shamelessly, he even thrusts flyers, card calenders and even posters of his event promotion to us, hoping tat we can help him publicise around, haha... so much fun ridiculing and poking fun at him... especially when he tries to convince passersby to join.. sorry, Jack!!!

And in the evening, it's Mr Hell Rider Mingjun who paid us a visit and even brought dinner for us... cheap cheap Macdonalds from NUS... We pratically chatted bout everything, from studies to gaming, with external benefits courtesy of cheerleading training juz in front of our room... With a large bike and his black biker jacket, i can picture him as a member of the gangster bike gang from GTA or Vice City.. haha.. San Andreas is on the way!! can't wait for it... :p Hope we can haf more of these interactions more often.. maybe we would consider going to NUS hostels next time, if we could find our own private transport 1st...

today got back my physics quiz.. got 60/100, tat means 3 questions correct, 2 wrong... feeling demoralised by it, cos the china and indonesia scholars sitting around all got 100/100... yet, i feel excited cos i'm glad i'm in the right class to learn from all these smart ppl... my tutor says our class has the highest mean marks among his other classes... credit goes to these scholars i guess... somehow my "outstanding" result attracts my tutor's attention... even after tat tutorial class, when i was waiting outside with Robin for another hostel mate, he even pulls mi to one side and advises mi to spent more time on physics...yeah, tio marked loh... feels so pasei... guess need to pull up my ankle socks (although i haf none..)
